About

Rujan studio is rooted in a quiet village near Samobor, a place surrounded by nature and calm. Ceramics has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents were potters, and I grew up among shelves of drying clay, the hum of the wheel, and the glow of the kiln. Later, ceramics became my field of study, though for many years I kept it as a quiet hobby. After many years, I chose to return fully to my roots and dedicate myself to the craft that has always felt like home.
I started Rujan with a simple vision: to create everyday objects that feel both traditional and modern, pieces that are straightforward in form yet made with care, attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
Each object is shaped slowly and by hand. Most are thrown on the pottery wheel, then carefully trimmed and glazed individually. Finally, they are fired in the ceramic kiln, where clay transforms into something lasting. Every cup, bowl and plate carries its own small uniqueness, the mark of the hand, and a reminder of the slow, mindful process behind it.
